When should I take my child to the dentist?
The ADA (American Dental Association) says by age 1 or when the first tooth erupts and we completely, 100%, agree with this recommendation. Some professionals (including dental professionals) feel this is not necessary.
Some dental offices will not see patients under a certain age–find one that will! If you need help with this PLEASE contact us. Even if your child is on an insurance that you’ve had a hard time finding an office that will accept we can likely help connect you with some wonderful people that can help you find a dental home for those special little loves in your life. If you call an office and they say it’s not necessary to see a child as young as yours I repeat–find one that will!
Once you have taken your child to the dental office it is best to continue with routine visits (usually 6 months is recommended).
